THIS WEEK’S ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS

Spiritual Growth and Fellowship

Each Thursday residents gather together for a weekly bible study lead by volunteers from a local church. Afterwards, the volunteers stay and visit with residents during lunch. We also offer monthly church services and communion every Sunday.

Arts and Crafts

We have a variety of arts and crafts programs at Bayfield. Every Thursday and every other Friday, residents get together and create one of a kind crafts to help celebrate the upcoming holiday or season. This is a time for them to socialize, practice fine motor skills, and explore their creativity.

Fitness

Every Friday residents enjoy staying physically fit with an exercise routine called “Mobility for Life” lead by a volunteer team member of a local health care provider. The routine consists of music and movement, making exercise a fun and social experience.

Musical Therapy

Once a month residents sing along with a music therapist. They reminisce with songs from the past and are given opportunities to join in with various musical instruments.

Birthday Celebrations

Each month Bayfield celebrates resident and staff birthdays by gathering together for something sweet. The menu can vary from the traditional cake and ice cream to pie alamode, or even giant cookie cakes. Family and friends enjoy celebrating with us by wearing party hats, blowing noise makers, and having balloon fights!

BINGO!

Bingo is a social event and family favorite at Bayfield. It’s an after dinner tradition that family members and friends can conveniently attend after the work day is done. Residents look forward to not only playing, but socializing with friends as assisted living and memory care residents gather together. Wednesday nights are prize nights hosted by a volunteer member of a local care team.

Live Entertainment

Bayfield offers 2-3 live entertainment shows a month. These include vocalists, pianists, guitar players, small bands, interactive DJ’s, dancers, and sing-along karaoke.
